Artist Biography Martin Bennett has been involved in only a small number of New Zealand based exhibitions mostly photographic; this will be his first joint show.
He has been involved for the past 13 years as a Photography and Design teacher and spoken at many institutions throughout the North and South island including the College of Education in Auckland, Waikato and Unitec about the teaching of these. During this time he has been involved with both NZQA and Learning Media as a writer and trailer for the NCEA internal and external standards at Level one, two and three, including the new area of Moving Image. Using these experiences he regularly meets with teachers and students in Auckland and Hamilton to advise on course programmes, training and assessment.
He gained his Bachelor of Education and Diploma of Teaching at the University of Waikato in 1999 and is completing his Post Grad Certificate in Education Leadership.
He was born in Auckland, New Zealand, and currently resides in Pukekohe, Auckland, where he works fulltime as the Head of Photography and Design at Pukekohe High School.
